Fans of classic, custom and exotic cars will be thrilled to hear that "A La Car & Art" will kick things up a notch with its return to A La Carte & Art, Mountain View's popular spring festival of the arts, May 5-6 from 10 am to 6 pm on Castro Street.
Saturday’s car show will be hosted by the San Francisco–based Laf A Lots car club and the Silicon Valley Corsa Club.
Sunday’s car show will be hosted by Hot San Jose Nights and the Nor-Cal Chevelle Camino Club.
Their passionate, car-loving members will be showing an incredible array of custom hot rods, macho muscle cars, sleek sports cars, and super cool low riders—just a sampling of the cars expected to be on display.
The Corsa Club display will feature the vaunted three Cs—an incredible array of cherry-condition Corvairs, Corvettes and Camaros.
Laf A Lots amazing arsenal of autos includes Big Dave’s 1965 Chevy Malibu with small block engine, custom paint with ghost flames and custom interior, Robert Ortiz’ 1946 Mercury with original paint and original flathead, and Rio J’s 1956 Chevy 210 Wagon.
The Laf A Lots hold three events a year—"The Last Laf" which closes down one lane of Bayshore Boulevard, "Laf A Lots Get Together" which brings together friends, family and car enthusiasts for a day in The City, and the "Laf A Lots Toy Drive" at the Bayview Boat Club in San Francisco.
Members of the Nor-Cal Chevelle Camino Club look forward to showing and sharing their world-class collection of Chevelles and El Caminos, legendary machines of American car culture.
