Experience the spectacular surf and scenery and see the show from the serene comfort of the one-of-a-kind Zeppelin “Eureka”.
Weather-permitting, “Eureka” will offer 30-minute passenger flights for the special price of $199 during the show at Half Moon Bay Airport.
Joanne Fedeyko, Director of Sales commented, “We’re working closely with the show organizers on logistical details to ensure that event attendees will have the opportunity take a flight that will provide a lifetime of memories.”
Over the past few months, residents and visitors in the San Francisco Bay Area have been thrilled at the sight of the quiet airship as it has been flying over such sights as the Golden Gate Bridge, Angel Island and the location of the Maverick’s Surf Contest in Half Moon Bay.
Alex Hall, CEO of Airship Ventures said “With Half Moon Bay being so close for us, and a popular weekend get-away location for residents and visitors alike, we hope it will be ideal location for us to stop by more frequently.”
Flying at 1000 feet above the ground and cruising at a stately 35 miles per hour, the view from the airship is memorable and unique. Passengers can walk around, open the windows, talk to the pilots and share their discoveries with each other about the world beneath them.

Founded in 2007 in California, Airship Ventures Inc. operates the only passenger airship operation in the United States, featuring Eureka, the world’s largest airship. At 246 feet in length, the Zeppelin is longer than a 747, more than 50 feet longer than the largest blimp. Based out of Moffett Field, Eureka also flies out of Oakland and Monterey.
The Zeppelin’s spacious cabin comfortably accommodates one pilot, one flight attendant and twelve passengers with luxury features including oversized panoramic windows, an onboard restroom with window, and a 180-degree rear observation window and “love seat” that wraps the entire aft of the cabin. Using the inert gas helium for lift, and vectored thrust engines for flight, the Zeppelin NT has been flying since 1997, in Germany and Japan, with an unparalleled safety record.
