The Bay Area’s hottest dance and party bands will be on hand to rev up the crowd and pack the streets at this year’s Millbrae Art & Wine Festival, September 4-5, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Broadway. There will be hits from the 80s, blazing Delta blues, and all your favorite party tunes from the Big Band Era to today.

Tainted Love

Delta Wires

Big Bang Beat
|
With their highly stylized, non-stop 80’s show, Tainted Love offers a refreshing change from the usual party bands. Whether it’s Madonna, Michael Jackson or Men Without Hats, Tainted Love will have everyone on the dance floor partying like its 1985.
Delta Wires is a high-energy harmonica and horns blues band known for its originality, versatility, and crisp, exciting sound. This tight Bay Area troop, fronted by vocalist/harmonica genius/composer Ernie Pinata, melds Mississippi Delta tunes and Chicago-style arrangements with rock, soul, and swing sensitivity. Delta Wires has shared billing with such blues luminaries as Van Morrison, Boz Skaggs, Freddie King, Buddy Guy, Lowell Fulson and many others.
Big Bang Beat is a dynamite, 12 piece extravaganza featuring four knockout female singers, a driving rhythm section, blazing horns, guitar and keyboard. These guys work from a huge repertoire built on the greatest dance and party hits of every era, from the big band era to today, and their non-stop stage show will have everyone on their feet.

James Moseley Band

The Pulsators

Crunchy Frog

Emerson Growiser Band
|
The James Moseley Band has been wowing audiences in the Bay Area for more than ten years. This dynamic seven piece band, fronted by guitarist and vocalist James Mosley, consistently delivers high energy performances showcasing favorite tunes by Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, James Brown, Gladys Knight, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Bob Marley and many more.
Rooted in the fertile musical soil of the Sonoma County wine country, The Pulsators are a six piece band that plays its own brand of music. With a get-up-and-dance kind of orchestration, their music has been defined as a spicy blend of driving blues, funky New Orleans R&B, rock steady reggae and classic rock-and-roll.
Crunchy Frog is on fire. The Marin band, made up of kids aged 8 to 11, was recently featured on the Channel 7 News and received a standing ovation after its July performance at the Marin County Fair. With a repertoire of covers of rock classics such as Cream's "Sunshine of Your Love," "In My Life" by the Beatles and the Isley Brothers' "Twist and Shout," the band is making a name for itself. Crunchy Frog got its name from the classic Monty Python skit set in a strange confectionery.
Beyond the main stage, enjoy the sounds of street musicians throughout festival, like the original jazz and blues tunes from the Emerson Growiser Band. Emerson is a natural, self-taught musician and a San Francisco gem. His unique sound comes from exposure to both Caribbean and European music genres, as well as American soul music, producing what some have called “Moody Blues with heart and soul.” You’ll feel like you’re strolling through Paris when listening to the incomparable Michel Saga and his rare French barrel organ.
