Fine Art
Take home the simplicity of coastal living with a beautiful photo by Supie Davis. The Half Moon Bay photographer enjoys beach scenes, sunsets and the magical quality of the ocean. Impressionist Yvonne Stone began painting in her 70s only four years ago! The watercolorist paints churches, boats, dancers and gardens. Her colors are soft and her style is serene. Atherton photographer Larry Calof travels the world to photograph amazing railroads, national parks and wildlife. Check out Anasazi Ruins at Mesa Verde, a sunrise at Machu Picchu and polar bears running through a snowy-white winter wonderland. Visit Ed Davis for rustic fall photos of pumpkin patches, wildflowers and barns. The Half Moon Bay photographer has been busy this year capturing the beauty of Northern California and Hawaii.
Wearable Art
Warm up this season with a sumptuous shawl, wrap or scarf handmade by Anne Brooks. The Moraga resident uses chenille, silk, wool and mohair in a variety of colors. Make a fall fashion statement with a crocheted hat and scarf by Redwood City resident Julie Goodenough. She crochets pretty beaded necklaces and adorns her soft purses with fused glass beads. Move over, Kate Spade –– Jill Bornemann uses unusual vintage fabrics for her handbags, messenger bags and accessories. The Sacramento resident even sews yoga and diaper bags for busy women on the run. Oregonian Cindia Carrere collects postage stamps from all over the world to make charms, beads, earrings and pins. She also creates her own stamps with whimsical photos of the Wizard of Oz, Vincent Van Gogh, the Eiffel Tower, gardening objects and Halloween characters. Her booth makes it easy to check off everyone on your holiday shopping list!
