| January Hooker's 20th Commemorative Pumpkin Festival Print
Half Moon Bay artist January Hooker is well known for her annual fine art print commemorating the world-famous Art & Pumpkin Festival. This year marks Hooker’s 20th year producing the print.
The scene of this year's print is Point Montara Lighthouse, making a pair with last year's print of Pigeon Point Lighthouse. The painting expresses many beautiful elements of the Coast –– the waves coming up to the bluffs, the old houses and cypress tree, and the hills of Montara. The late afternoon shadows capture the mood of the day.
In keeping with tradition, this year's print contains her hidden trademarks –– a row boat, ribbon, palette and paint brush, and twenty pumpkins in a pumpkin patch.
