Hot, Young Artists Perform on the Safeway Family Stage Powered by
Radio Disney

Radio Disney’s N.B.T. (“Next Big Thing”) returns to showcase some of the hottest young performing artists in the country at this year’s Half Moon Bay Art & Pumpkin Festival on the Safeway Family Stage powered by Radio Disney. Now in its fourth season, N.B.T., a daily multiplatform feature that has launched the career of many Hollywood Records recording artists, selects only a handful of the brightest talent across the United States to highlight through online and broadcast exposure. Two of N.B.T.’s most popular performers, Amber Lily and Jasmine Sagginario, will be performing live at this year’s festival, October 13-14, on Main Street in downtown Half Moon Bay.

Amber Lily is a teenage wonder—a phenom singer, songwriter, actress and dancer. She began performing at just 5 years old. By the age of 7 she starred in her first musical theater production and released her first full-length album of original songs at age 11. In 2010, Amber got her big break when Kelly Edwards from Radio Disney asked her to be one of only five artists across the nation to participate in Radio Disney’s “Next Big Thing”. Disney selected two songs written by Amber—"2 2 2 L8" and "Next to You"—for the showcase. After filming and recording her “takeover” of the Radio Disney broadcast at Disney HQ in Burbank, she was featured extensively on the Disney Channel and on Radio Disney. Fresh off her amazing N.B.T. experience and placements on ABC Family and Wet Seal, Amber has continued writing and recording music that inspires her. The culmination of these experiences has come together in the release of “Coming to Life”. “This album was a journey,” says Amber. “I chose ‘Coming to Life’ as the title song because it reflects not only who I am musically, but it’s totally about where I am in my life.”

Jasmine Sagginario is a remarkably gifted Pop and R&B singer/songwriter from Nashville, TN who is best known for winning season two of Radio Disney’s Next Big Thing! Jasmine has been featured on the Disney Channel and Radio Disney and her music has appeared on the DCOM original movie "Starstruck" as well as Radio Disney Jams 12. She has also appeared as a featured artist alongside Luke Benward on the Nationwide I-shine tour. In addition to opening for Justin Bieber and AllStar Weekend, Jasmine has performed as a headlining act for several Radio Disney concerts across the nation. Her last three singles ("Make A Movie", "Boy Crazy" and "Knock Knock") have all charted for several weeks on Radio Disney’s Top 30 Countdown! Jasmine is set to release her first single and music video of 2011 in November which will be featured at Journeys Shoe stores in shopping malls across the nation.

Also rocking the stage throughout the weekend will be the Radio Disney Road Crew whose high-energy, interactive show will make you want to get up and move! The Radio Disney Road Crew will play all types of fun games with the kids and families, like Hula Hoop Showdown, Mummy Wrap, Costume Relay and Scary Karaoke where everyone will walk away a winner with prizes like DVDs, CDs, posters and more. Plus, kids can learn the dance moves to some of their favorite Radio Disney songs, including the hit song “It’s On” from Camp Rock 2.

The Safeway Family Stage powered by Radio Disney is located in the Bank of America parking lot at 620 Main Street in Half Moon Bay.
