Benefits the Cabrillo Education Fund

How often do you get to see and touch a massive, Volkswagen-sized 1,200-pound pumpkin let alone get to have your photo taken alongside something so unusual?

At this year’s Half Moon Bay Art & Pumpkin Festival, October 18-19, you can do both.

Using HP’s award-winning digital cameras and printers, your photo can be snapped, then instantly printed into a cardstock frame for a special take-home keepsake.

The cost is $12 per picture and all proceeds benefit the Cabrillo Education Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)3 tax exempt organization, that operates independent of the Cabrillo Unified School District for the sole benefit of the students attending our local Coastside public schools. In carrying out its mission, the Cabrillo Education Foundation raises funds and directs financing to support academic programs at all levels of the performance spectrum. Providing targeted opportunities to enable students to excel and achieve differentiated academic performance.

Special thanks to HP for its support of this project and the Cabrillo Education Foundation

Last year $175,000.00 was distributed directly into our schools from the Immediate Use Fund! Funds are distributed annually to all of our local public schools based on their relative student population. CEF requires the funds be spent within the school year on projects or programs that have a direct impact on our students. This determination is made by the Principal, along with the elected site council, or parent/teacher organization of each school.

This year’s 37th Annual Half Moon Bay Art & Pumpkin Festival takes place October 18-19 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on historic Main Street. For information, call the festival hotline at 650-726-9652.
