Mavericks Pumpkin Harvest Ale 2
Half Moon Bay Brewing Company Unveils Mavericks® Pumpkin Harvest Ale in Honor of Half Moon Bay's 37th Annual Art & Pumpkin Festival

Half Moon Bay Brewing Company Mavericks Pumpkin Harvest Ale 2

In honor of the 37th Annual Half Moon Bay Art & Pumpkin Festival, Half Moon Bay Brewing Company’s Brew Master Alec Moss has created Mavericks® Pumpkin Harvest Ale, a special seasonal ale brewed with a variety of pale and crystal malts and for the first time ever, actual pumpkin! The Mavericks® Pumpkin Harvest Ale is the official ale for the Pumpkin Festival and will be available beginning in early October at the Half Moon Bay Brewing Company located in Half Moon Bay –– the World Pumpkin Capital. The special ale will also be available at the Half Moon Bay Art & Pumpkin Festival, October 18-19 from 9 a.m to 5 p.m. on Main Street in downtown Half Moon Bay.

“People are really going to enjoy this one-of-a-kind pale ale as the pumpkin flavor is noticeable but subdued, so the beer is balanced in flavor,” said Half Moon Bay Brew Master Alec Moss. “Since we added pumpkin to both the mash and the boil, the normal hop aroma and flavor of a typical pale ale has been reduced which allows the pumpkin character come through.”

At the Pumpkin Festival, the Mavericks® Pumpkin Harvest Ale and Mavericks Amber Ale will be available in the Take 5 Lounge only, located in the Coastside Adult Day Health Center parking lot, where festivalgoers can enjoy a spicy marinara-laced sausage sandwich while watching football and baseball on a giant screen LED TV.

Half Moon Bay Brewing Company is a warm, friendly oceanfront restaurant and brew pub that features live music and dancing with picturesque ocean views. From kayaking and surfing to mountain biking and hiking, the brewery provides the ideal ending or beginning to an active day at the coast. Guests can relax on the patio and enjoy a cool brew and/or delicious meal while taking in the sweeping Pacific Ocean views. The brewery is located just north of Half Moon Bay, next to the famous Mavericks surf break, home to some of the world’s toughest big wave surfing and the annual Mavericks Surf Competition, 30 miles south of San Francisco at 390 Capistrano Road, Princeton-by-the-Sea.
