Kruk and Kuip Named Pumpkin Festival Parade Grand Marshals

Mike Krukow and Duane KuiperThe beloved Kruk and Kuip (pronounced "Krook and Kipe"), current San Francisco Giants broadcasters Mike Krukow and Duane Kuiper, will serve as honorary Grand Marshals of the 40th annual Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Festival Parade, Saturday, October 16 at 12 noon.

"Kruk and Kuip are huge fan favorites and we're delighted they have accepted our invitation to serve as parade Grand Marshals," said Cameron Palmer, Chairman of the festival committee. "This continues our longstanding tradition of honoring San Francisco Giants greats."

'Kuip' is known for his signature play by play home run call -- "He hits it HIGH!... He hits it DEEP!... It is ... OUTTA HERE!"

'Kruk' is the animated and witty color commentator, providing razor sharp insight on every element of the game along with humorous stories from his playing days.

The Half Moon Bay Art & Pumpkin Festival runs October 16-17, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Main St. between Miramontes and Spruce Streets in Half Moon Bay. Admission is free.

The festival is presented by the non-profit Half Moon Bay Beautification Committee. For information, call 650-726-9652.
