An unabashed smash hit at last year’s Half Moon Bay Art & Pumpkin Festival, “Smashing Pumpkins: Battle of the Bands”, under the direction of local impresario Ken Kelly, returns for an encore performance at this year’s festival, October 13-14.

"This is all about giving young, emerging and exciting talent from around the Bay Area a chance to do what all performers want to do: get in front of a live audience", says producing director, Ken Kelly of Ken Kelly Productions. "The Pumpkin Festival will be a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the incredible new talent that we've discovered over the past year."

Three bands will play each day with performances running from 3 pm to 5 pm on the Safeway Family Stage in the Bank of America parking lot at 620 Main Street.

Special gratitude and thanks to Ken Kelly of Ken Kelly Productions for making this a spectacular reality. BRAVO!!! Visit www.kenkellyproductions.com.

SCHEDULE
Saturday, October 13
3 pm Streets Filled With Talent:  These are 8 middle school girls (and one 5th grade boy on Saxaphone!) who have performed in many of our Talent shows over the years and now have gone to start their own band! They play both pop songs that all will recognize and a few originals too!
3:40 pm The Missing Link: This group from the Vibo Music School in San Bruno, Provides experience for students in playing rock. The group is usually composed of five players including the rhythm section. The group focuses on selections in the rock music genre from 1960 through today.
4:20 pm Glorious Birds:  This is a 3-piece college age band that first performed on the Streets Filled With Talent Stage at last year’s Millbrae Art & Wine Festival. They perform their own brand of rock that is highly entertaining.
Sunday, October 14
3 pm Bay Area Girls:  This is another Streets Filled With Talent Stage favorite.  These middle school girls continue to rock out the Bay Area and are always a pleasure to have at the Festival.
3:40 pm Flight of Ulysses: This talented band originated in Millbrae, formed by Mills High School students/alumni. Showing great versatility, all band members have a strong background in rock, jazz, blues and classical music.
4:20 pm Almost Chaos: This is a Teenage Band from Santa Cruz. "We do covers and originals. We've played at the Crow's Nest, The Catalyst, and other places. We also played at the Finals for the National Competition at NAMM called Schooljamusa".
