| McCovey Cove "Stretches" into Half Moon Bay for Pumpkin Festival
Willie McCovey, Hall-Of-Famer and one of the most popular players in San Francisco Giants history, will be the Honorary Grand Marshal of the 37th annual Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Festival Parade, Saturday, October 18 at 12 noon.
"One of the all-time San Francisco Giant greats and our home-spun Great Pumpkin Parade -- perfect symmetry and a match made in heaven for Giants fans around the Bay Area," said Cameron Palmer, Chairman of the festival committee. "Needless to say, we're excited Mr. McCovey accepted our invitation and we look forward to showing him some hospitality and love Half Moon Bay style."
The Half Moon Bay Art & Pumpkin Festival runs October 18-19, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Main St. between Miramontes and Spruce Streets in Half Moon Bay. Admission is free. The festival is presented by the non-profit Half Moon Bay Beautification Committee. For information, call 650-726-9652.
